Instruments that make scenery, songs that make shocked faces. Vocals and final mixing occurred here at the Conservatory, but most of the album was done in a house rented for this purpose, large empty and haunted. During the course of those two weeks recording at that house, every detail of it's odd walls and warm vibe were captured and sealed within the echo of JR's drums. Ingenuity marks the formation of guitar sounds as hand-crafted and you can get, with Ahmad even taking his amp apart and adjusting it internally, in ways it's really not meant to be adjusted, just to get the right sound for a song.
